李尚昱（又名尚玉），1970年生于河南太康县。1990年结业于中央美术学院国画系；1999年进修于“文化部第二届重彩画高级研究班”，1990-1999年走遍中国各地，搜集素材，感悟自然。
1997年作品入选“世界华人书画展”·北京中国美术馆；
1999年参加“文化部第二届重彩画高级研究生班师生作品展”·北京中国美术馆；
1999年“庆祝澳门回归书画大展”获优秀奖·北京中国美术馆；
1999年作品入选“第九届全国美术作品展”并获“河南省第九届美术展”金奖·广东汕头；
2000年作品入选“中国书法兰这样 然·美术金奖”·河南郑州；
2000年作品获“民族魂·国土情中国书画作品展”三等奖·江苏南京；
2001年作品获“亚亨杯全国绘画·书法精品大展”铜奖·河南郑州；
2002年作品获“全国第五届工笔画大展”收藏奖·北京炎黄艺术馆；
2005年“中国艺术赴瑞士展”瑞士伯尔尼。
2006年在郑州举办四人花鸟联展。
2001年在广州举办个人画展。2002年天津人民美术出版社出版《中国工笔画线描全谱——雀鸟》；2004年天津美术出版社出版《中国工笔画家精品选》；作品曾在《美术》杂志、《美术报》上多次发表。现为中国美术家协会会员，河南省美术家协会工笔画艺委会副秘书长，中国美术家协会河南创作中心创作部主任，中国艺术创作院河南分院副院长。
