陶冶，本名陶贤金，斋号陶冶居士。1963年生于山东日照，自幼随其叔父学画，一九八五年毕业于中国工艺学院，就职于日照市工业美术公司。次年拜著名画家王炳龙先生研习小写意花鸟，2004年就读中国美协高研班，2007就读于中国国家画院高级研究生邢少臣工作室，2009年始师从国家画院吴悦石先生学习中国画。中国美术协会会员，山东美术协会会员。
任职：大连市陶冶画院院长，日照市书画艺术研究院副院长，日照市华侨书画院副院长。《中国书画报》特聘画家，现居北京，受聘于《盛世写意·中国画》杂志编辑。
