刘树章(1948.10—)河北安平人。笔名北方人，擅长中国画。中国美术家协会会员，内蒙古呼伦贝尔盟群众艺术馆美术员。曾多次参加全国性省级美术展览，尤其是参加联合国科教文组织举办的世界性的美术展览《蓝色遐想》获得好评，被联合国科教文组织收藏。刘树章先生长期生活在北方草原，在艺术创作过程中不断探索，作品以焦墨大写意为绘画语言，以“知白守黑”“师法自然”为艺术理念，用浓重的焦墨构画出一种刚健、淳朴的艺术世界。表现了北方草原和草原民族博大、雄厚、强悍、奔放不羁的深层文化积淀和精神主题。代表作品有《雪乡1号》、《雪乡3号》、《蓝色的遐想》等。
