张广才，1958年生，江苏丰县人。1982年毕业于南京师范大学美术系，获学士学位。1986年考取该校杨建侯教授研究生，专攻中国人物画，获硕士学位。2007年9月至2008年7月在中国艺术研究院杜滋龄工作室做访问学者。
现任江苏省教育科学研究院、江苏第二师范学院美术学院院长、教授。国际商业美术设计师协会江苏地区专家委员会委员，中国美术家协会会员、江苏省美术家协会理事，江苏省美术家协会省直分会会长，江苏省徐悲鸿研究会副会长，国家课程标准苏教版小学语文教科书副主编等职。
《江苏画刊提名21世纪优秀艺术家——张广才》水墨画集由江苏美术出版社出版；专著《张广才插图艺术》由江苏教育出版社出版；《张广才素描作品集》由南京大学出版社出版；《张广才画集》（现代彩墨卷）由天津美术出版社出版。有多篇论文在中国书画国画家艺术百家等国家级核心期刊上发表，有多幅作品参加省及全国性美展并获奖。2005年6月应邀访问法德意荷卢奥梵比等欧洲八国，进行文化交流和美术考察，并在法国参加巴黎——中国文化艺术交流展，作品“少女肖像”荣获优秀作品奖。2008年现代彩墨人物画都市风韵参加江苏省纪念改革开放30周年美术书法作品大展，并获奖。另为教育部义务教育课程标准实验教科书苏教版小学语文创作插图作品一千余幅，还有一些作品被海内外相关机构和个人收藏。
