黄少牧，1979年生。师从著名画家冯今松先生。现为湖北省国画院专业画家、院委、创作部主任，中国美术家协会会员、湖北省书画研究会理事。
其作品多次入选全国性美展并获奖，多幅作品在《美术》《国画艺术报》《中国书画》等学术刊物上发表和专题介绍。
出版有《黄少牧画集》《70-80年代中国画30画家黄少牧传》《中国美术家大系 黄少牧卷》《荆楚画派名家作品集 黄少牧卷》等个人专著。
