丁涛，1951年10月出生，毕业于辽宁省文化艺术大学，鲁迅美术学院油画系研究生画室，法国画家克劳德·伊维尔油画技法研究班结业。中国美术家协会会员、中国油画学会会员、辽宁省美术家协会理事、本溪市第三届美术家协会主席，现任职本溪市书画院院长、国家一级美术师、辽宁画院特聘画家。长期从事油画创作，作品多以风景为主，作品参加全国第六届美展、建军六十周年美展、建党七十周年全国美展及全国首届水彩、粉画展。主要作品有油画《毛毛狗》、《鸽巢》，水彩画《夏》等，曾在中国美术馆、中央美术学院陈列馆领衔举办了“辽东风景画展”，先后在上海、广州、沈阳等城市举办画展，应邀赴泰国、日本、法国、新加坡、印尼等国举办个人油画展。出版有《丁涛油画作品选》、《丁涛油画选集》、《丁涛、王燕油画集》并著有《油画风景入门奥秘》一书。作品在《美术》、《画廊》、《水彩艺术》、《名家静物》等专业性杂志上发表，其中油画《毛毛狗》得到美术理论家蔡若虹先生撰文刊在《美术》杂志，给予很高评价。有关其本人的创作、艺术经历等，省、市及中央电视台、《报告文学》及新闻煤体等多有介绍报道，时有文学作品及美术评论文章见诸于报刊。
