常朝晖，1968年生于青岛即墨市，1991年毕业于山东艺术学院。曾就读于中国艺术研究院、中国国家画院。中国美术家协会会员、山东画院高级画师、山东省美术馆专职画家、文化部青联委员、山东美协理事。2009年毕业于中国国家画院龙瑞工作室。
1994年入选中华人民共和国第八届美术作品展(文化部、中国美协)。
1995年入选95中国体育书画大展获佳作奖。
1997年参加山东首届中国人物画展，分获二、三等奖(山东美协)，同年入选全国建军七十周年美术作品展(文化部、中国美协)、第四届全国体育美展(中国美协)。
1998年获“山东省首届山水画展”金奖(山东美协)。
1999年获“庆祝建国五十周年暨全国山水画展”银奖(中国美协)，同年入选“人与自然·首届当代中国山水画·油画风景画展”(中国美协中国画艺委会·李可染基金会，中国油画学会)。
2000年作品《溪山四时佳·祥云》被中国美术馆收藏(中国美术馆)。
2002参加由文化部在中国国家博物馆举办的“画说世界遗产28处大型画展”(文化部、中国美协)。
2003年入选“中国艺术研究院学术提名展”同年作品《山水》获“《国画家》全国扇面大展”金奖。
2004年参加“中国风情·当代中国画赴法邀请展”，同年参加“水墨心象·当代中国名家学术提名展”。
2004年参加“澄怀味象·中国画提名展”，及中国艺术研究院“黄宾虹美术奖”获奖艺术家作品展，获黄宾虹美术奖。
2005年作品两幅入选“第十届全国美术作品展”(文化部、中国美协)，同年入选“当代实力派名家香港邀请展”(中国美协)、“东方即白·全国名家提名展”、“人与自然·第二届当代中国山水画·油画风景画展”(中国美协、中国油画协会)。
2006年参加第一届当代中国画学术论坛(北京·中国美术馆)。
2007年参加第二届“高山流水”山水提名展(上海·上海美术馆)。
2008年参加第二届当代中国画学术论坛(北京·中国美术馆)，同年入选传承经典当代中国画名家艺术邀请展(中国国家画院、安徽美术馆)、新传统·当代中国画名家艺术邀请展、丹青本色·当代中国画艺术原创提名展。
