林德宏别名林离，广东阳江人。擅长中国画。1949年参军，曾在解放军某部任创作员、美术编辑。1980年后历任昆明市文联副秘书长兼创作联络部主任，昆明市美术家协会主席。作品有《江水流不尽》、《草原初醒》、《老来俏》等。
