张建华，江苏省高邮市人。1985年进修于解放军艺术学院美术系，1988年毕业于中央民族大学美术系。现为中国美术家协会会员、江苏省国画院特聘画家、中国美术家“江山行”画家组秘书长。
作品曾入选1993年全国第三届体育美展、全国首届中国山水画作品展，1994年全国第八届美展、第三届中国当代工笔画展，1997年庆祝建军70周年全国美展、全国中国人物画作品展，1998年第四届中国当代工笔画展、“抗洪精神赞”全国美展，1999年全国第九届美展（合作），2002年纪念建军75周年全国美展，2004年首届中国美协会员中国画精品展、“绿色时空”解放军美术精品大展，2005年第二届中国美协会员中国画精品展、中国百家金陵画展，2006年“黄河壶口赞”中国画提名展，2007年中国百家金陵画展。

作品曾获1991年全军美术创作展一等奖、1993年第二届江苏省体育美展优秀奖、’93全国中国画大展银奖、1997年中国当代工笔画大展优秀奖、1998年江苏省首届工笔画大展优秀奖、1999年全国第八届“群星奖”银奖、南京军区第三届“前线文艺奖”一等奖，2001年江苏省第二届山水画展金奖、全国第十三届“群星奖”优秀美术作品展优秀奖，2006年“走进张家界”全国中国画作品展优秀奖等。

2006年被江苏省文联表彰为“江苏省优秀青年美术家”，2007年参加江苏省文化厅组织的“江苏名家万里写生活动”。

多幅作品被中南海紫光阁、中央组织部办公大楼、中央军委八一大楼、中央办公厅、中国美术家协会、中国军事博物馆等机构收藏。《美术》、《国画家》、《中国画》、《美术界》、《书与画》、《收藏界》等杂志予以专题介绍。出版有《张建华画集》、《张建华山水画精选》、《当代名家写意山水画库·张建华》、《21世纪有影响力画家个案研究·张建华》等。
