字深地，号墨出，回族，1963年生于四川成都。现为成都画院专职画家，中国美术家协会会员，中国当代大写意花鸟画家，四川省青年联合会委员。
寅坤先生在创作中重视画面全局的结构气势和笔墨运用，重视对物象特征的强化，重视对物象真情的感受。他苦心营造画面结构、造型，从不放弃感受而迁就表象。品读他的作品不仅能领略到高洁之美，同时还能体会出一种雄浑的气势。蔡寅坤把自己特有的个性、气质、生活经历融合在绘画当中，形成了“重、拙、大、豪”之美的独特画风，在中国大写意花鸟画坛独树一帜。
蔡寅坤先生作品入编《中国当代美术全集》、《中国首届花鸟画作品集》、《中国当代著名花鸟画作品集》、《中国第十一届、十二届、十三届、十四届画花鸟作品集》、《当代中国画扇面集》、《当代中国画杰出人才集》、《中国画三百家》、《当代中国画名家杜甫诗意画邀请集》、《水墨传承·当代中国花鸟画十人展集》、《水墨动向·第三届当代著名中青年国画家学术邀请展集》、《“红梅八哥”中国第二届花鸟画学术提名展集》、《“相依图”全国中国画名家邀请展集》等大型辞书画集，并荣获“中国花鸟画成就奖”和“当代中国画杰出人才奖”。曾为中央军委创作巨幅大画《鹤》，为天安门城楼创作巨幅大画《池塘昨夜惊风雨》。
作品赴日本、美国、新加坡、马来西亚、瑞士和我国台湾、香港等地展出并被有关机构收藏。曾先后多次在国内外举办大型个人画展、联展。《美术》、《中国书画》、《江苏画刊》、《人民日报》等多家报纸杂志曾专题介绍其艺术成就。
出版有《蔡寅坤画集》、《蔡寅坤的画》、《蔡寅坤大写意花鸟画》、《蔡寅坤花鸟画精品集》、《当代中国花鸟画坛10名家·蔡寅坤作品集》、《走进野风堂》等多部专集。
