王长水，1955年6月生，河南登封人。现为中国美术家美术家协会会员、河南省国画家协会常务理事、河南省山水画艺委会委员、河南省书法家协会会员、郑州市美术家协会副主席，登封市美术家协会顾问，黄河科技学院工美学院副教授，河南省老干部大学副教授。
1978年毕业于河南大学美术系，2000年结业于《国画家》第二届创作高研班，2008年结业于中国美协第三届创作高研班，2009年结业于中国人民大学国画硕士课程班，现为中国人民大学访问学者、中国美术家协会山河画会李宝林工作室画家。20多年来，他爬遍了嵩山的峰巅沟壑，在嵩山古文化的渊源和基层生活的季风里浸泡。他常常身背画夹，攀岩跋涉，描绘出了上万张写生素材，嵩山被他赋予了生命，有了灵性和感染人的内涵。从他的《三皇览胜》、《二仙洞》、《中岳魂》、《中岳庙》、《嵩门待月》等一系列以嵩山为题的作品中，可以看到画家的感觉和思想的积蓄，同时也反映了他对自己所思所想所感所问进行的提炼和升华。1986年创作《中岳魂》在《美术》杂志和《人民日报》发表，1998年《千载遗韵》入选《时代风——全国写生画展》。1999年《嵩山高图》入选全国第八届“群星奖”大展、《龙潭高致图》入选《跨世纪暨建国五十周年全国山水画大展》。《河岳雄壮图》获《庆祝建国五十周年暨迎澳门回归全国诗书画大展》成就奖。2000年《嵩山》获《光明日报》“人济杯”中国画大赛优秀奖。《清虚静泰》获河南省跨世纪人才书画展一等奖。2001年《秋高风远图》获全国第四届山水画展优秀奖。2001年《大河遗风》获《情系黄河》全国书画大展佳作奖。出版有《王长水嵩山画集》等。
