刘根才，1956年出生、大专文化。国家二级美术师。现任九华山画院院长、九华山文化馆长、九华山文联副主席。中国美术家协会会员、安徽省美术家协会会员，池州市美术家协会副主席、九华山美术家协会主席。获全国文化系统先进工作者、安徽省池州市首届拔尖人才称号。自1979年参加工作起，在九华山风景区从事文化宣传工作30余年。为九华山文化基础设施建设，丰富群众文化活动，加强文艺队伍建设，保护非物质文化遗产等工作尽心尽力，成效显著。在美术创作和美术研究上硕果颇盛，30年来以深沉的恋山情结跑遍九华山青林碧溪、积稿万千。创作了一批具有九华山地域特色的美术作品，多次入选国家、省级美术作品展并获奖。在《美术》等专业报刊发表美术作品180余幅及《流淌于山水中的生命之美》等三篇美术论文。曾先后随安徽省美术家协会代表团赴俄罗斯、美国举行采风、交流展览活动。
