董振中，字子午，号老草，山东人。1964年至1968年浙江美术学院国画系毕业，1968年至1978年邹县文化馆美术创作副馆长，1978年至1992年邹城市师范专科学校高级讲师，1992年至2003年邹城市师范专科学校教授。中国美术家协会会员，国家一级美术师，中央电视台特聘画师，北京中国画研究院画师，山东画院高级画师，邹城市美术家协会主席，邹城市画院院长。全国著名国画人物画家，是我国画坛上卓有成就并享有盛誉的艺术家。
董振中绘画以人物见长，又以古代圣贤人物的描绘为主要题材，所绘人物生动传神，透露出一股灵动和飘逸，笔法老练、沉稳、娴熟，绘画技法以线条构图，重彩渲染，形成了自成一格的鲜明绘画特色，在绘画界受好好评。
曾先后在国内外美展中九次荣获大奖，并在北京、上海、山东、江苏、湖南、山西、贵州的等九家出版社发表出版作品190余幅。为中央电视台《中华文明之光》《上下五千年》等栏目，创作古代人物画近300幅。先后多次在日本、加拿大、香港、深圳、济南等地举办个展。
1992年，山东美术出版社出版《董振中画集》；
2005年，《美术家董振中》一书，由中国美术家协会编辑出版；
2006年，《孟子圣迹图》大型画册，中国旅游出版社出版，《亚圣孟子》大型画册，山东美术出版社出版；
2007年，《孔子圣迹图》画册，人民美术出版社出版，《孟母教子图》、《国画人物名家董振中》画册，山东美术出版社出版发行。
电视专题《董振中绘画艺术》《画家董振中》分别在中央电视台、山东电视台、深圳电视台陆续播出。
