张剑芳，1963年生于无锡市羊尖镇，幼随父学画。1988年毕业于江苏省轻工业学校美术专业，后就读并毕业于江南大学中文系。现为江苏省国风书画院画师，无锡市国画院画师。
花鸟画师从铜山喻继高先生，山水画、油画等师从岭南林野先生。1983年开始展出和出版作品，先后在南京、上海、宁夏、广州、厦门等地举办作品巡回展，作品亦为天津《国画家》、《江苏画刊》、北京《美术大观》、上海《书与画》、《文汇报》等专业画刊及报刊发表。
1991-1996年作品入选历届江苏省花鸟画展和综合性画展。
作品《日日平安》、《牡丹锦鸡》1985、1986年由上海书画出版社单幅出版。
《无涯》1991年入选朵云轩中国画赴美展，《晨曲》等40幅作品1991年在朵云轩展出。
《芙蓉》1995年入选江苏花鸟画集。
《花鸟》1996年获中国美协、书协主办的“孺子牛杯”全国书画大展优秀作品奖。
《晨曲》获中国艺术馆主办首届丁绍光奖全国美术作品大展优秀奖。
《鹰》入选加拿大第三届国际水墨画展并获优秀奖。
1997年作品《蔷薇》入选《中国书画艺术大观》。
1998年作品入选第四届全国工笔重彩画展。
1999年作品获江苏省美术节铜奖
