吴定川是榆中县青城人，生于1952年11月，现为中美协会员、省书画研究院副院长。其作品多次参加国内外展览并获奖，部分作品被人民大会堂、天津博物馆等机构收藏，部分作品入选《当代中国美术家作品集》等大型画集。
