宋威，1976年生于河南鹤壁，毕业于河南大学艺术学院，2008年研究生毕业，获硕士学位。现任教于许昌学院美术学院，任中国画教研室主任，中国美术家协会会员。作品多次参加国家级、省级展览，并被《美术》、《美术大观》、《美术报》、《国画家》等专业期刊刊登。2011年被河南省美术家协会评为“河南省优秀青年美术家”。
