洪辉，字钰，号荒祖。徐悲鸿、吴冠中再传弟子，王明明入室弟子。
1963年生于江苏宜兴，自幼酷爱绘画。1975年作品《我的家乡》获首届全国少儿电视书画大赛铜奖。
1993年作品《江山多娇》获纪念毛泽东诞生一百周年全国书画大赛铜奖，受到华国锋主席亲切接见。
2000年应邀为全国人大北戴河会议中心委员长厅作《颐寿春溢图》，受到中央多位领导表扬和接见，同年和王光英委员长多次出席艺术活动开幕式。
2001年作品《绝荒无饰》获江苏首届山水画展铜奖。
2002年作品《都市组合》获江苏都市水墨画展铜奖。作品《关山层层苍》获优秀奖，由此在江苏画界引起重视。
2003年作品八尺巨幅《官山古寨》为北京画院高研生毕业展正厅主展作品。
2004年参加北京艺博会，部分作品被买家收藏，在北京画坛引起重视。北京电视台采访作专题报道。
2005年参加济南艺博会，多幅作品被买家收藏，引起轰动。山东卫视、齐鲁台抢先采访报道，在山东市场引起重视。06年作品《石涛论画》入展纪念红军长征70周年全国书画大赛。
2006年应邀参加北京、深圳、大连、南京、广州艺博会和名家邀请展。作品《颐寿仙居》为李嘉诚先生高价收藏。在历次展览中得到同行高度评价。画坛和媒体极为重视，藏家私语为最具潜力的青年画家。
