王玉玺，山西右玉人，一九五四年出生，一九八二年毕业于山西大学艺术系，一九八九年至一九九年在中央美院进修中国画水墨人物画。曾任山西大学美术学院院长，现任学院教授，硕士生导师。现为中国美协会员，二七年至二一一年教育部高等学校艺术类美术专业教学指导委员会委员，山西省美协副主席。中国画《魂系雪域高原》一九九七年六月入选迎香港回归中国艺术大展；中国画《山村童趣》一九九七年十月入选第四届中国体育美展并获银奖；水墨人物写生《姑娘》一九九八年十二月入选时代风采全国写生画展；中国画《黄河流过老牛湾》入选一九九八年中国山水画展；中国画《伏龙图》一九九九年十二月入选第九届全国美展；中国画《高原母亲》二年十二月入选新世纪中国画书法精品大展并获铜奖；中国画《左权将军在太行》二一年七月入选建党八十周年全国美展获优秀奖。著有论文《有感“踏花归去马蹄香”》《想象与绘画创作》《论中国古代画家的精神修养》等。
