白澄(1928、4)字躍舟，四川中江县人。1944年先后就读南虹艺专及四川省立艺专。1950年1月参加解放军十八兵团文工团，后调川北文工团、川北中苏友好协会及四川省中苏友好协会工作。1953年复学于四川美术学院，毕业后留校任教。1958年进修于中央美院华东分院(浙美)，现为副教授、中国美术家协会会员、重庆市文史馆馆员。擅长花鸟画：《八哥》曾参加第七届世界青年联欢节国际美展，获得好评。《狮子滩工地》获四川省青年美展二等奖、《雪竹》获马尼拉国际文化交流荣誉金奖、《劲竹》获纪念毛泽东同志诞辰110周年中华书画艺术展荣获二等奖，《红梅》载入《纪念邓小平同志诞辰一百周年全国翰墨精品集》获荣誉证书。几十年来作品甚多，仅国内国外出版作品选本约三十余万图、(礼品画、商品画)等作品已供国内国外展览不计其数。名列《中国美术家年鉴》、《世界华人美术家年鉴》、《中国美术家会员辞典》、《中国国画家辞典》等十余部辞书。
