王韧，原名王骏福。年出生于重庆，祖籍湖北黄陂。1965年毕业于湖北艺术学院美术系附中。1970年毕业于广州美术学院工艺美术系，分配到广东韶关市从事群众艺术工作达二十年之久。1984年在广州美术学院国画系进修一年。受杨之光、刘济荣等先生教诲。1985年沿丝绸之路进行艺术考察，同年奉郭绍纲先生之命陪同王肇民先生在丹霞山写生并笔录王先生珍贵画语。1990年10月调返广州美术学院，历任学院美术馆馆长、科研处副处长、教学科研处处长、技法教研室主任、研究员，现任教授、硕士研究生导师、学院副院长。重要社会活动有：曾被文化部聘为全国高等艺术院校教学评估专家组成员，参与全国高校美术、设计专业目录调整，全国艺术院校学分制方案和教学评估方案的研讨、论证。2000年5月作为中国高等美术学院考察团副团长对法国、意大利等七国进行访问。1999年4月与2000年6月分别赴日本国与我国台湾地区参加《东亚油画的诞生与发展》学术活动。2004年2月赴埃及作艺术考察。主要作品：中国画《大爷》1997年入选“全国中国画人物画展览”获优秀作品奖；1999年人选“第九届全国美术作品展”；中国画《民族恨》1997年人选“中国艺术大展”并为文化部收藏；中国画《司徒美堂》1983年入选“全国侨乡风貌美术作品展览”；部分代表作曾在香港、巴黎展出。
