肖飞，1964年4月生于江西南昌，1989年毕业于中央工艺美术学院（现清华大学美术学院）。现为江西科技师范学院艺术设计学院教授、硕士生导师、副院长，中国美术家协会会员，江西省高校中青年骨干教师，江西美术家协会漆画艺术委员会副主任，江西美术家协会油画艺术委员会委员，江西省教育厅“十一五”重点建设学科“美术学”学科组成员。
自1989年从中央工艺美术学院毕业参加工作后，一直致力于艺术创作与艺术教学。“师法自然”是他的主要创作风格，“民俗风情”是他的主要创作特色。20世纪90年代中期，肖飞创作的《老屋》系列油画作品一经展出，立刻在画届引起良好反响。具有皖北地区的地域特征的民居民俗，给画届带来一股清新之气，青年画家肖飞引起画坛关注。1995年，油画《老屋》参加香港佳士得当代中国油画秋季拍卖，为众多业内人士所青睐。青年画家肖飞在当代油画界崭露头角。肖飞以为，地域特征是画家创作的不竭动力，漆画是江西画的重要流派，20世纪90年代后期，漆画创作成为他创作的一个高峰，并取得丰硕的成果：2002年，其漆画《晚晴野渡》获中国美术家协会主办的首届中国漆画展优秀作品奖；2003年，其漆画《晚晴野渡》入选中国美术家协会主办的2003年北京国际双年展系列展－－中国漆画展；同年，其漆艺作品《凝结的质量》获中国轻工业联合会主办的“第五届中国（国家级）工艺美术大师精品博览会”暨“中国工艺美术作品评选”金奖；2004年8月，其漆画《自然·构造》入选文化部、中国美术家协会主办的第十届全国美术作品展优秀奖，其宣传画《水是生命》第十届全国美术作品展铜奖，为学校艺术作品第一次获得政府奖项，肖飞也成为江西画坛获得政府美术奖项为数不多的青年画家之一。2004年10月，其漆画《牧马》荣获“2004中国工艺美术·民间工艺品博览会”金奖；2005年8月，其漆画《山风吹过》入选全国体育总局和中国美术家协会主办的第六届全国体育美展；2005年10月，其漆画《飞驰》获得由厦门市政府和中国美术家协会主办的“2005厦门中国漆画展”优秀奖；其油画作品《阳光风景》、《春之声》分别还入选中国美术家协会主办的第三届中国油画展、入选江西省委宣传部、江西省文化厅、江西省美术家协会主办的第十二届江西省美术作品展览。肖飞漆画作品《自然·构造》被浙江省美术馆永久收藏，漆画作品《晚晴野渡》、《飞驰》被厦门市人民政府永久收藏，油画作品《老屋》系列60余幅作品被日本、美国、印度尼西亚、香港、台湾等国家地区机构和人士收藏。
