张爱廷，男，浙江青田人，生于1939年。1957年开始从事青田石雕，先后任青田石雕厂创作组组长、厂长。1958年至于1960年以优异成绩读于浙江美术学院（现中国美术学院）民间工艺美术系。1967年至1968年作为专家被国家派遣赴阿尔巴尼亚传授石雕技艺。1957年经浙江美术学院邀请在该院雕塑系任教一年。1988年被评为“高级工艺美术师”。1989年赴日本作技术交流和表演。1991年被浙江省人民政府授予“浙江省工艺美术大师”荣誉称号。1993年被国家轻工部授予“中国工艺美术大师”的荣誉称号。四十多年来，张爱廷大师挚爱青田石雕艺术，潜心于人物、山水、花鸟和动物的创作，造诣颇深。特别是在人物创作上，鉴古通今，融贯中外，独辟蹊经，意蕴深厚，形神臻于完美，为工艺美术界所推崇。

 工艺美术大师张爱廷和他的《丰收》

在青田石雕邮票首发式上发行的四枚邮票中，面值四十分的《丰收》的作者就是浙江工艺美术大师、县政协委员、县石雕厂党委书记张爱廷。张爱廷来说，国家、集体的利益高过自己的利益。他利用业余时间创作的精雕作品，在市场上都是抢手货，价钱看好，但只要国家收藏需要，他宁可钱少，也要将作品献给国家。一次，他的力作“舞狮”被人看中，出价五万元。同时，国家珍宝馆也看中这件作品，想以三万元收购珍藏。在两万元的差价面前，张爱廷毅然选择了后者，把“舞狮”献给了国家珍宝馆。事后，有人说他太傻了，白白丢了两万元钱。而张爱廷自有他的想法，他说：“这是国家的需要，不给钱也应该奉献。我不能为了两万元钱而忘记国家利益”。经过一段时间的努力，一件雕刻精细、寓意深远的石雕精品问世了：上部两个小孩一蹲一站，底下一个小孩骑在鱼背上，质感细腻，衣纹线条简洁飘动，人物栩栩如生；如意、荷叶、鲤鱼、珠宝等衬物形象逼真。整个作品布局合理、浑然一体，激起人们无尽的遐想，给人以美的享受。作品问世以后，曾先后被选送到日本、新加坡、香港、加拿大、非洲等地展出，获得了各地观众和行家的好评。1992年11月，“连年有余”被国家邮电部定名为《丰收》，制成邮票发行。

 美是人们在劳动中创造的。这些石雕艺人，正是凭着这种钻劲、韧劲，用自己的辛勤劳动，不断地创造着美。张爱廷，这位受人尊敬的艺术大师，正是他们之中的一员。他的作品不可谓不多，成就不可谓不大，但他从不满足于已取得的成就，正象他在谈话结束时对我说的：“人的生命是有限的，但艺术是无限的。我要在有限之年去追求无限的艺术”。

Zhang Aiting, male, from Qingtian, Zhejiang Province, was born in 1939. In 1958, as for 1960, he studied in the Department of Folk Arts and Crafts of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now China Academy of Fine Arts). From 1967 to 1968, he was sent to Albania as an expert to teach stone carving. In 1957, he was invited by Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts to teach in the Department of Sculpture for one year. In 1988, he was awarded "Senior Arts and Crafts Artist". In 1989, he went to Japan for technical exchange and performance. In 1991, he was awarded the honorary title of "Master of Arts and Crafts of Zhejiang Province" by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. In 1993, he was awarded the honorary title of "Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts" by the Ministry of Light Industry. Over the past 40 years, Master Zhang Aiting has devoted himself to the art of stone carving in Qingtian. He has made great achievements in the creation of figures, landscapes, flowers, birds and animals. Among the four stamps issued on the first issue of Qingtian stone carving stamps, the author of Forty-cent Famous Harvest is Zhang Aiting, a master of Zhejiang arts and crafts, a member of the CPPCC and Secretary of the Party Committee of the county stone carving factory.
