朱丹，笔名天马、未冉，江苏徐州人。擅长绘画、美术理论。曾就学于天津南开大学，南京中央大学艺术系。1939年后历任西北文艺工作团副团长《东北画报》社长，《人民画报》总编辑，人民美术出版社副社长兼总编辑，中央文化部艺术局副局长，中国艺术研究院美术研究所所长，中央美术学院副院长，中国美术家协会书记处书记，中国书法家协会副主席。编导动画《瓮中捉鳖》。曾出版著作?和画集。
