秦耘生(1928.1—)别名平原，河北成安人。擅长书籍装帧设计。1948年毕业于晋冀鲁豫北方大学艺术学院美术组、华北大学三部美术系。历任《察哈尔日报》美术组、《察哈尔画报》社责编，中国青年出版社美编室主任、编辑。插图设计有《鹿走的路》、《林巧稚》等。
1949年建国时在共青团中央工作期间，参加了《中国青年出版社》筹建工作，随到该社任美术编辑室主任。先后组织了著名文学作品《红旗谱》、《播火记》、《李自成》等小说的插图创作编辑工作。他写的小说《李玉兰》曾轰动一时。创作的木刻《北大荒人》参加了全国第一届美展，并获银奖。离休后，又被特邀创作“画家黄胄”连环画。秦耘生几乎一生从事编辑工作，编辑了大量的优秀作品，享有很高的声望，受到广大读者和作者的欢迎和崇敬。
