Sun Long, the grandson of Sun Xingzu, the founding loyal marquis, was appointed to the Inner Court between Xuande (1426-1435) and served as "Golden Gate Servant" (Hanlin waited for imperial edict). Gentle and sensitive nature, immortal demeanor. Flowers and birds are painted by Xu Xi and Zhao Chang with "boneless drawing method". The painted birds, fish, grass and insects do not first outline the shape but directly dye the image with color. This painting technique can be described as a new way to create a family of its own, enriching the traditional techniques of flower and bird painting, and has a far-reaching impact on later generations'splashing colors and freehand brushwork. He was also good at landscapes, Mi Fu and Mi Youren's father and son in Zong Song Dynasty. From the artistic activities in Yongle, Xuande, Orthodox, and Lin Liang (1416-1480) at the same time.

Among the works on flowers and birds, there are not many snow scenes, because winter scenery is the most monotonous in the four seasons, and painting is limited. This unique painting depicts an ancient plum blooming in the snow, which attracts sparrows to cheer on the branches. Several faint plum blossoms, several green bamboo leaves, and several lively birds reveal thriving business in the bleak winter snow.
