毛益作品

 (公元12世纪)昆山(今属江苏)人，一作沛(今江苏沛县)人，生卒年不详。孝宗乾道(1165-1173)间画院待诏，工画翎毛、花竹，尤能渲染，似欲飞鸣。厉鹗《南宋院画录》卷四著录其画迹有《榴枝黄鸟图》《荷塘柳燕图》《聚禽图》《黄鹂苍翠图》《鹭鸶图》《三友图》《对幅松图》《柳杏山鸟图》《山茶双鸟图》等。传世作品有《牧牛图》卷，纸本，墨笔，纵26.2厘米，横73厘米，描绘烟柳平丘、牧童牧牛之生动情景，造型准确，用笔简率，款署“毛益画”三字，似为后添款。画上有乾隆皇帝题诗，后有范显德、池廷瑞、金信等九家题跋，曾经梁清标、清内府收藏，《石渠宝笈续编》著录现藏故宫博物院；《猫图》册页相传为其所绘，藏日本东京国立博物馆。父毛松，善画花鸟四时之景，传世作品《猿图》现藏日本京都曼殊院。

 Mao Yi (12th century A.D.) [Southern Song Dynasty], a native of Kunshan (now Jiangsu), and a native of Peixian (now Jiangsu), had an unknown birth and death year. Xiaozong Qiandao (1165-1173) Painting Academy waited for an edict. Painting feathers, flowers and bamboos, especially can render, like to fly. Li E's "Painting Records of Courtyards in the Southern Song Dynasty" has four descriptions, including "Pomegranate Yellow Bird Picture", "Lotus Pond Willow Yantu Picture", "Bird Picture", "Yellow Oriole Green Picture", "Heron Hut Picture", "Three Friends Picture", "Pine Painting", "Liuxing Mountain Bird Picture", "Mountain Tea Two Birds Picture", "Xuancao Tour Dog Picture" and "Shukui Tour Cat Picture". The handed down works include "Grazing Cattle Picture" volume, paper book, ink pen, 26.2 cm in length and 73 cm in transverse. They depict vivid scenes of tobacco and willow hills and cowherding children. They are accurate in shape, simple in writing and the words "Mao Yi Painting" are added to the bill. There are nine inscriptions on Emperor Qianlong's poems, followed by Fan Xiande, Chi Tingrui and Jin Xin. They were collected by Liang Qingbiao and Qingnei Prefecture. The Sequel of Shiqu Baotu is recorded in the Palace Museum. The cat map is handed down to him and collected in the Tokyo National Museum of Japan. Father Mao Song is a good painter of flowers and birds. His handed-down work Ape Picture is now in Manshu Yard, Kyoto, Japan.
