戴秉心（1905-1980）浙江金华人，先后就读南京美专、上海艺术大学。1930年与吴作人同获公费就读比利时皇家美术学院，1936年自其研究院毕业，隔年受聘于苏州美专（颜文梁时为校长），抗战时期分任重庆青木关国立艺专、重庆师大等校。1948至1951年间应聘国立杭州艺专（林风眠时任校长）任油画系教授与教务主任。1951年后转任山东师院与该地其他学校教职，在山东一地直到1980年去世。因为青年时期在杭州音专旁听，养成对音乐的喜好，他将画画的的经验比喻为敲击钢琴的键盘，认为音乐与美术是相通的，他曾说：「我虽然最终学了美术，但总是忘不了音乐。」
