林达川美术作品

林达川，广东新会人，著名油画家。1930年考入杭州国立艺术专科学校。1935年考入日本东京美术学校（现日本东京艺术大学）。1948年加入日本著名美术团体“一水会”，同年加入东京新构造社。油画《ハマ山手风景》参加第十一回“一水会”展览，雕塑《半身像》参加第二回新构造社“连立会”展览。1949年秋，油画《窗前景致》参加全日本第五回美术展览会，并荣获该展览“特选奖”。
1912年8月4日出生于广东省新会县独联乡，原名林北滔。父：林家英，母：薛行道。林达川为独子。其父林家英于1906年去加拿大谋生，1910年回国成家，后长期旅居国外。1918年入私塾（学四书五经）二十年代
1921年转入由乡里华侨捐款建立的新学堂独洲小学
1925年小学毕业，随父亲去香港入九龙錀智中学，后转海南中学。
1927年初中毕业于广州海南中学，同年入北平文治高中。
1929年高中毕业于北平文治高中，同年入北平辅仁大学（天主教会办）。
三十年代
1930年考入杭州国立艺术专科学校（校长为林凤眠，同学有胡善余、卢鸿基、肖传玖等）。
1932年在胡善余等同学去法国留学的影响下，自行决定去日本留学。同年九月只身从上海搭日本“长崎丸”客轮出国。
同年于东京东亚高等预备学校学习日语，晚间在川端画校补习木炭素描。在日本期间学习和生活费用靠父亲从加拿大侨汇。
1934年考入帝国美术学校，入读川端画校
1935年4月考入日本东京美术学校（现日本东京艺术大学）雕刻科。在校期间选修洋画，师从日本一代宗师梅原龙三郎、安井曾太郎。
1937年2月与陈笑兰（别名陈宝霞）在东京银座街中央厅西餐馆大厅举行订婚典礼，同年返回家乡结婚。
1938年1月移居香港铜锣湾，靠开设小型照相馆维持生活。
1939年在岳母劝说与资助下，重回日本继续学业。同年为完成东京美术学院的学业，通过岳父朋友温炳臣（华侨总会常务理事）介绍在横滨中华会馆供职。
四十年代
1943年9月完成雕塑与油画学业，毕业于日本东京美术学校。
1944年开始职业画家生涯。
1945年因飞机空袭，逃生中全家曾在中华墓地看墓人家避难。
1947年5月居住在横滨元町5－195番地，继续职业画家生涯从事自己的绘画事业，并协助夫人陈笑兰经营文具、化妆品等店。
1948年加入日本著名美术团体“一水会”，油画作品《ハマ山手风景》参加第十一回一水会展览，同年加入东京新构造社，雕塑作品《半身像》参加东京新构造社第二回自主连立展。受到木下孝则、有岛生马的指导。
1949年秋季油画作品《窗前景致》(F50号风景)参加全日本第五回美术展览会，并荣获该展览“特选奖”（由当年日本艺术院长兼日本美术展览会运营会会长高桥诚一郎颁奖，并颁发奖金）。该作品刊登在日本美术杂志，并印作彩色明信片，为此横滨华侨界在南京街中华菜馆万珍楼聚会庆祝，并摄影留念。
五十年代
1950年在日本美术界继而又获“无监查”及“依嘱”荣誉称号。（“无监查”为画家送展作品无需通过审查，“依嘱”为每回开展览时作为特邀画家参展）。
同年5月在东京银座画廊举办第个人展览。展出40余幅风景、静物、肖像油画作品。并有部分作品被收藏和出版专辑。
该展览得到华侨总会温炳臣老先生的策划协助、并撰写请柬
1951年加入日本美术家联盟，是当时唯一的中国籍画家。同年油画作品《港的远眺》参加第七回日本美术展览会。
同年5月在东京银座画廊举办第二次个人展览，展出油画作品《青年》、《路傍》、《雨日》、《自画像》、《友人像》、《温翁肖像》、《妇人像》等。
1952年油画作品《楼层》参加第八回日本美术展览会。
1952年至1953年间在日本著名油画家木下孝则创办的神奈川鹤见美术研究所执教。
1953年8月与夫人陈笑兰携带子女举家归国，同年执教浙江美术学院。
1954年撰写《为和平，为孩子》一文于“六一”儿童节前夕在杭州日报发表。
1959年当选为杭州市人大代表，继续执教浙江美术学院。
六十年代
1960年任杭州政治协商委员会委员，继续执教浙江美术学院。
1962年当选杭州市归国华侨联合会副主席，继续执教浙江美术学院。
1962年加入中国美术家协会。
1962年至1964年浙江美术学院油画系设立方干民、胡善馀、林达川工作室。
1963年作品《沈家门渔港》由中国美术馆收藏，并由北京人民美术出版社编入《中国油画作品选》。
1968年至1970年文化大革命时期受到波及，下放去桐庐农场劳动，期间创作了大量的小幅油画作品。
七十年代
1970-1980年间文化大革命后期，各项政策逐步落实，与胡善馀一起频繁外出写生，足迹遍及浙江山山水水还赴上海、无锡、广州、福建海岛等地，创作了不少佳作。
1972年作品《绍兴鉴湖》由浙江人民美术出版社编入《油画作品集》。
八十年代
1981年作品《黄浦江》由上海人民美术出版社编入《油画风景写生集》。
1982年3月在浙江美术学院陈列馆举办个人展览，展出117幅风景、静物、人物油画作品，并撰写《回顾与展望》一文。
同年6月由学校组织和黎冰鸿、胡善馀、王流秋、费以复等同赴敦煌探索祖国艺术宝库并深入新疆牧场写生，为期两个月。同年加入中国致公党，并推荐有关人士加入该党。
1983年重返广东写生，并回故乡新会县独联乡。同年受聘为浙江省油画研究会顾问。
1983年至1985年期间描绘西湖风景及杭州建设的作品多次被《浙江日报》、《杭州日报》选登，并做专题介绍。
1985年11月21日因患心脏病医治无效，与世长辞，享年73岁。
研究纪念活动
1990年12月15日—19日由浙江美术学院、省市美术家协会、省市归国华侨联合会协同举办的《归侨艺术家林达川遗作展》在浙江美术学院陈列馆展出。并于12月17日下午召开了林达川艺术研讨会。
1994年10月《林达川油画集》由中国美术学院出版社出版。
2006年《大璞不雕－林达川油画作品集》由中国美术学院出版社出版。
