This picture depicts the full moon in ink. In the middle of the month, Yutu writes fur with dry pen, focusing on ink and dotting the eyes. The image is vivid and lovely. Guishu draws branches and leaves in ink, with exquisite and sophisticated brushwork. Osmanthus fragrans is dotted with orange, and its warm tone adds a little warmth to the cold palace of the cold moon. The layout of the whole picture is compact, the use of color and ink is ingenious and interesting. The words "Ice Wheel", "Rabbit Wheel", "Guanghan" and "Heavy Wheel" in the poems are all metaphors of the moon and the Jade Rabbit. They set off the theme of the picture in the form of poems, so as to skillfully combine the poems, books and paintings, and interpret the beautiful legends of the Jade Rabbit and Osmanthus in the middle of the moon. They are really beautiful folk paintings. In addition to Jiang Pu's paintings and self-titled poems, there are the imperial poems of Emperor Qianlong and the corresponding poems of Ministers such as Liu Tongxun and Dong Bangda, from which we can see the inheritance of the traditional customs of the Han nationality by Emperor Qianlong and the elegant scenes of the Mid-Autumn Festival with poems and paintings between him and his officials.
