图绘远山二座,不见笔痕皴擦,为淡墨轻抹,隐约欲现。近景一船工正划篷船离岸,船中端坐二人。水际处有一株分枝柳,又有沿岸而生的芦苇丛,与江中摇曳的芦苇相呼应。图以简取胜,占全幅一半画意的江面,却没画一笔水,水意全是通过其他水中的物象——船、芦苇等暗示出来的,这可谓全图的巧妙之处,亦是作者以虚应实、以点示面匠心独运的表现。全幅带有较强的文人画韵味,着重表现文人所追求向往的隐逸意境。

Pictures of two distant mountains, no brush mark rubbing, for light ink light wipe, looming. Close view A boatman was rowing a canoe offshore, two people were sitting in the middle of the boat. There is a branch willow in the water, and reed bushes along the coast, echoing the swaying reeds in the river. The picture wins by simplicity, which accounts for half of the whole picture of the river, but does not draw a brush of water. Water is all implied by other objects in the water - boats, reeds and so on. This is the ingenuity of the whole picture. It is also the expression of the author's ingenuity and ingenuity with falsity and reality. The whole painting has strong literati painting charm, focusing on the expression of the reclusive artistic conception that literati pursue.
