黄苗子（1913~2012.01），广东中山人。当代知名漫画家、美术史家、美术评论家、书法家、作家。早年就读于香港中华中学，8岁师从邓尔雅先生学书法。先后任《新民报》副总经理、贸促会展览部副主任、人民美术出版社编辑。曾担任过中国美术家协会理事、中国书法家协会常务理事、全国文联委员，第五六七届政协全国委员会委员。据黄苗子个人官网授权方百雅轩消息，文化老人黄苗子于2012年1月8日11点27分在北京朝阳医院辞世。

He has served as the director of the Chinese Artists Association, the executive director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the member of the All-China Federation of Literature and Culture, and the member of the National Committee of the 567th CPPCC. According to Baiyaxuan, the authorized party of Huang Miaozi's personal official website, the cultural elder Huang Miaozi died at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital at 11:27 on January 8, 2012.
