陈宗耀(1948.8—)湖北武汉人。擅长连环画、插图。1968年于武汉工艺美校，后毕业于湖北美术学院绘画系。1973年调《武汉儿童》编辑部任美术编辑，后在湖北人民出版社和湖北少年儿童出版社任美术编辑，编辑室副主任，现任电子、卡通读物编辑室主任。中国美术家协会会员，湖北省美协连环、儿童画艺术委员会副主任。共责编图书60多种，复审图书30多种，其中策划和担任责任编辑、反映少数民族儿童生活的图书《我是中国的孩子》获全国第七届中国图书奖；绘画《我们的周围世界》获全国幼儿读物三等奖。
作品《大马和小马》获第六届全国美展优秀奖、《我是中国的孩子》、《婴儿学习库》等获中国图书奖、冰心图书奖、第三届全国优秀幼儿读物奖。论文有《儿童读物图画散论》。编辑《中华文明小百科》图书。
