1953年出生于湖北省黄冈市，厦门美术馆画家。研究馆员，中国美术家协会会员，福建省文化厅高级职称评审委员会委员，先后毕业于湖北黄冈师范专科学校，中央文化管理干部学院，曾任湖北省武穴市美术家协会理事兼秘书长，湖北省武穴市文化馆美术部主任，厦门杏林文化宫宣教科副科长，厦门群众艺术馆培训部主任，美术部主任。1985年在湖北美术院国画研修班学习，受教于著名画家汤文选、冯今松、陈立言、廖连贵、刘文湛等著名先生。
　　2007年参加福建省文化厅举办的全省高级艺术人才研修班
