1965年生于天津，毕业于天津美术学院，现为中国美术家协会少儿美术艺术委员会委员、天津美术家协会会员、天津美协水彩画专业委员会副秘书长、民进天津开明画院理事、天津市和平区美术家协会理事、城市画派核心成员、中国青年美术网推荐画家、国画艺委会成员。
作品多次入选全国及省市美展并获奖，多幅作品被企业、画廊及个人收藏。水彩画《冬天的记忆》入选“纪念毛泽东同志《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》发表60周年全国美术作品展”并获天津展区铜奖；水彩画《春来无声》入选“北京国际双年展-中青年艺术家邀请展”；水彩画《秋意》入选亚洲水彩画展；水彩画《秋到小街》入选“香港·天津水彩画家联展”；水彩画《旅程片段》入选天津水彩画60年60位水彩画家邀请展；国画《天津小洋楼》入选大美天津写生作品展并获银奖。出版《水彩画技法全程训练》《风景速写全程训练》《老魏信箱》等20余部，天津电视台曾拍摄《画家·画展》、《画家魏老师》两部专题片。
