王之江，中国民主同盟盟员。全国城市雕塑建设指导委员会艺术委员会委员。天津市城市雕塑规划组艺术委员会委员。天津环境装饰协会顾问。1982年应聘为日本东京新构造社美术团体雕塑部名誉会员。1917年生。黑龙江省巴彦县人。1939年毕业于日本东京大学艺术科雕塑专业。在曾日本雕刻家安藤照工作室学习四年。1940年任北京师范大学工艺系雕塑讲师。后任沈阳市辽东学院美术系教授。建国后一直在天津美术学院任教。曾任天津市第十一届人民代表大会代表。王教授专长于雕塑和水彩。

其雕塑作品《学》、《马三立像》和《滦水情》、《闻一多》、《鲁迅像》、《相声》、《泉》分别获天津市美展二等奖和优秀作品奖；水彩画《沧浪亭》获天津市鲁迅艺术奖；雕塑作品《齐白石像》、《护士》、《小泽征尔像》、《歌》、《高仓建像》、《李德伦像》分别参加日本东京都美术馆举办的第52届至60届新构造美展获功劳赏。水彩画作品《海港》、《建设中的钢厂》、《新船》、《玉带桥》、《颐和园秋色》、《麦田》、《苏联展览馆》在国内外展出，曾获天津市鲁迅艺术奖、优秀作品奖及日本外务大臣奖。为南开大学创办人张伯苓先生塑造铜像。出版《王之江水彩画临本》（画集）。
