王福臻，男，辽宁庄河人。1947年10月参加中国人民解放军，曾任美术组长，画报编辑。1954年9月考入中南美术专科学校，1957年毕业留校任教。1965年调湖北省美术院雕塑创作研究室工作，现为一级美术师。1988年3月离休。
与李祥美合作的《李自成》，陈列于中国历史博物馆；《友爱》为中国人民革命军事博物馆收藏；《小花》入选第六届全国美展优秀作品展，为中国美术馆收藏。
室外雕塑作品：《打铜锣》、《举枪者》两座大像立于红安县黄麻起义纪念碑两侧；《屈原》青铜像(高四米)立于秭归；《闻一多》青铜像立于武大珞珈山；《陈毅》青铜像立于中南财大；《黄金时代》立于武汉市城区街头；《城标》不锈钢雕塑立于荆门市。
主要作品：《屈原》，入选全国城市雕塑设计方案展；及《友爱》、《李自成》、《小花》、《黄麻起义》、《黄金时代》等。
上世纪70年代，王福臻与一批专家在全省各地办泥塑学习班，将著名的黄陂农民泥塑搞得有声有色。省美术院雕塑创作研究室主任李三汉说，黄陂农民泥塑学习班走出了一批雕塑名家，这与王福臻的苦心栽培分不开。“他是一个特别耿直的人，对学生投注了全部心血。”李三汉说，给学生上课时，王福臻常常自己赤膊上阵，给学生做模特，退休后也常来创研室转悠，看到雕得不好的作品，无论对方是名家还是学生，都会不留情面地指出问题。

Wang Fuzhen, male, from Zhuanghe, Liaoning Province. In October 1947, he joined the Chinese people's Liberation Army, once served as art group leader and pictorial editor. In September 1954, he was admitted to Central South Fine Arts College, and in 1957, he graduated and stayed in school to teach. In 1965, he was transferred to the sculpture creation Research Office of Hubei Academy of fine arts, and now he is a first-class artist. He retired in March 1988.

Li Zicheng, in cooperation with Li Xiangmei, is displayed in the Museum of Chinese history; friendship is collected by the Military Museum of the Chinese people's revolution; floret is selected into the Sixth National Art Exhibition of excellent works and collected by the Chinese Art Museum.

Outdoor sculpture works: two large statues, gongs and gun lifters, stand on both sides of the jute Uprising monument in Hong'an County; the bronze statue of Quyuan (four meters high) stands in Zigui; the bronze statue of Wen Yiduo stands in Luojia mountain of Wuda; the bronze statue of Chen Yi stands in Zhongnan University of Finance and economics; the golden age stands in the street of Wuhan city; the stainless steel sculpture of city sign stands in Jingmen City.

Main works: Qu Yuan, selected in the national urban sculpture design exhibition; and friendship, Li Zicheng, Xiaohua, jute uprising, golden age, etc.

In the 1970s, Wang Fuzhen and a group of experts set up clay sculpture classes all over the province, which made the famous Huangpi farmers' clay sculpture impressive. Li Sanhan, director of the sculpture creation Research Office of the Provincial Academy of fine arts, said that a group of famous sculptors came out of Huangpi farmers' clay sculpture class, which was inseparable from Wang Fuzhen's painstaking cultivation. "He is a very honest man, who has put all his heart and soul into his students." Li Sanhan said that in class, Wang Fuzhen often went to work naked to model the students, and after retirement, she often came to the creation and research office to wander around. When she saw the poorly carved works, she would point out the problems regardless of whether the other party was a famous person or a student.
