李平凡（1922—2011）原名李文琨，天津人，中国著名版画家。曾习西画，1937年鲁迅先生倡导新兴版画时开始木刻创作。1943年赴日本学习水印木刻技法，创立神户华侨新集体版画协会并任会长。1950年之后历任人民美术出版社编辑、日本国际版画研究会顾问、中日友协全国理事。因长期致力于水印版画的推广和创作，热心中日美术交流，1987年获日中艺术交流贡献奖。
李平凡早期作品以表现劳苦大众的艰辛生活为主，抒发心中的愤怒和不平。50年代以后，转向以歌颂和平、描绘幸福生活为主，并创作大量以儿童为题材的版画作品，他笔下的不同肤色、不同民族的儿童生动、活泼、可爱，一双纯洁、明亮的大眼睛，流露出对幸福美好世界的向往和热爱。他的作品清新纯朴，笔法洗练，线条流畅，色彩明快，富有浓厚的装饰趣味。
