于夫，祖籍山东人，1940年生。中国美术家协会会员、中国摄影家协会会员、省作家协会会员、书法家协会会员。曾任报刊美术班编辑、副总编、高级摄影记者、青年摄影家学会主席、漫画会秘书长、大学客座教授、于夫艺术摄影学校校长、于夫艺术摄影有限公司董事长。
十六岁始在报刊发表美术、摄影作品万余幅，均获称颂。多年专攻画猫，风格独树，突破前辈画猫不辨雌雄，所画雄猫阳刚大气、雌猫百媚千娇，雌雄可鉴，此项创新，多次参加国外展出，数次荣获国际金奖。在电视网络等新闻媒体介绍于夫时，提到“齐白石画虾、徐悲鸿画马、黄胄画驴、于夫画猫”将于夫的名字与画界泰斗并列，亦被新闻媒体称誉“中国猫王”。传记入编《世界艺术家辞典》、《中国美术家辞典》、《中国摄影家辞典》、《中国当代漫画家辞典》、《当代名人辞典》、《共和国艺术家辞典》等。2010年首创意象的书法一笔象形“龙”字在香港大会堂举办的“世界华人艺术精品大展”十周年香港庆典及交流活动评选中荣获国际金奖，并授予“世界华人功勋艺术家”称号。首创意象的书法一笔“寿”字于2012年在日本中国交正常化40周年纪念，第16回全日中展“中国著名书画家来日欢迎交流会”中展出受到日本政界、文化界好评。被授予“中日文化交流使者”荣誉称号。
现为中国文化艺术家联合会主席、中国国家书画院名誉院长、北方书画研究院名誉院长、炎黄书画院副院长。
