彭薇，女，1974年生于成都。1997年毕业于南开大学东方文化艺术系中国画专业，获文学学士学位。2000年毕业于南开大学人文学院美学专业，获哲学硕士学位。其美术作品多次在国内外参展。现为中国美术家协会《美术》杂志编辑。
早些年，彭薇画了不少花卉湖石，近几年来才从“湖石”转到“绣履”再到“衣钵”，这一“变局”使她的精致与灵性发挥到了极致，也让她在艺术样式纷繁芜杂、画坛日趋多元化的今天，发出了属于自己的声音，形成了具有个人风格的特定符号。女性对衣服和鞋子有着天生的热爱和欣赏，彭薇自然也不会例外。她画这些鞋子衣服，最初是惊叹于它本身的美，而后惊喜于以传统的中国纸、颜料和毛笔将其展现出来的文化蕴涵。于是，彭薇画了一年时间的鞋子，又画了一年时间的服饰。有人把彭薇的画喻作她自已的“私房画”，因为这些宣纸上的女鞋与服饰，象是古代某位大家闺秀或富家妇孺所有。尽管绣印着钟鸣鼎食、恣意耽乐的富贵景象，但是，生命如烟，而今一切复归于黯然，空留一纸繁华。读彭薇的画，似能体味到一种隐隐的追念。这种追念，符合中国诗学对“过去的世界”的情感记忆，正如孟郊《秋怀》“古骨失浊肉，古衣如藓苔”所描绘的意境那般。

Peng Wei , female, was born at Chengdu 1974. Was graduated from 1997 south flying craft of university east culture is Chinese picture major, obtain literary bachelor's degree.
