中国美术家协会会员，中国出版对外贸易总公司艺术中心画家，国家一级美术师、中国画学会理事、中国国际书画研究会理事、中国北京民革画院副院长、北京画院特约教授。擅长写意山水画，题材多以太行山及江南水乡为主。作品注重中国画传统笔墨，追求笔墨的随意、厚重、自然及韵律感，画作崇尚内美，力求苍劲浑朴、逐步形成了自己独持的艺术风格。
1950年生于北京市，六岁入北京少年之家学习素描，十一岁入北京少年宫学习中国画，同期得到著名山水画家秦仲文先生指导。
1985年10月在京举办个人画展。同年，作品“大江东去”参加前进中的中国青年美展。1988年作品“忆江南”获中国美术家协会主办《中华杯中国画大奖赛》银牌奖。
1989年作品“西北风”获中、港、台美术机构合办《当代水墨新人奖大赛》佳作奖。
1990年在台北长江艺术中心举办个人画展并出版个人画集。
1992年3月作品“嶂石岩”入选中国画研究院举办的山水邀请展。
1993年9月作品“嶂石岩”入选全国首届中国画展。
1993年10月作品《晚秋图》入选首届中国山水画展并获优秀奖；
1993年《艳阳秋》入选第八届全国美展。
1994年作品多幅入选港、台，加拿大及中国画精英展，并有三幅作品入选画集。
1995年10月作品参加第三届马来西亚中国画展；并举办个人画展。
1997年参加中国画名家珠海邀请展并出版画集。
