韩石子，河北保定市人，1948年生，当代著名山水画家，毕业于北京艺术学院山水画专业，国画大师秦仲文弟子。保定直隶画院院长、河北省政协委员、一级美术师、中国国学学会理事、国家人事部艺术学部委员。
韩石子先生是中国当代著名山水画家，在重要展事活动中多次获奖。邓小平、方毅、胡锦涛、徐才厚及高占祥、李德珠、白克明、季允石、赵金铎、赵勇等和国内外三十余家美术馆和博物馆收藏其作品；1984年以来先后为北京人民大会堂、石家庄河北会堂创作5件巨幅山水画；1986年历时3年创作的《燕赵古卷展宏图》，当时长卷被评价为有史以来最宏大的中国画作品，文化部领导高占祥誉为国宝，作品获河北省最高政府奖，国务院副总理方毅为长卷题词“燕赵史卷”；《美术》、《美术报》、《中国文化报》、《中国画家》等主流媒体刊发作品评论；部分代表作编入《毛泽东诗词创意画集》、《中国当代山水画集》等二十余部国家级画册；出版有《韩石子画集》；韩石子先生在三十余年中国山水画研究创作中，以坚韧的毅力扼守冷寂，苦其心智，锲而不舍，以善于思考的睿智探索中国山水画的创新。严谨的治学之道使韩石子先生在山水画创作中特立独行，他打破千余年来山水画的传统格式，开创了山脊冲上，两翼展开，阴阳开合，型致独特，笔墨厚重，大气磅礴，纵向山岭连亘千里尽收眼底的新格式。
