宋丰光，出生于山东桓台，1982年毕业于山东师范大学美术系，1990年进修于中央美术学院中国画系。现任山东师范大学美术系副教授、硕士生导师。中国美术家协会会员。
夫人张锦平1956年出生于山东临沂市，中国美术家协会会员，山东师范大学传播学院教授，硕士生导师。
近年来，二人主要参展获奖作品有：
1991年，中国画《萧夜泛清瑟》入选香港现代中国水墨画大展：
1992年，中国画《暮霭图》获全国首届花鸟画展佳作奖：
1993年，中国画《孔子见老子》入选首届中国画展；
1994年，中国画《紫雾》入选全国第八届美术作品；
1997年，中国画《樨草》获全国中国画人物画展最高奖银奖；
1997年，获中国文联、中国美协评定的“97中国画坛百杰画家”称号；

2003年，参加第二届全国中国画展并获优秀奖。
出版画集有；《宋丰光张锦平精品集》、《宋丰光张锦平花鸟画》、《百杰画家宋丰光张锦平精品集》专著《中国人物画》等。
