吕书峰，祖籍河南新乡，1963年生于陕西韩城市。1989年毕业于西安美术学院师范系，获学士学位。先后在陕西大荔师范学校、陕西省艺术师范任教。1999年调入西安美术学院教育系。2003年毕业于西安美术学院研究生班。2004年至2010年担任西安美术学院附属中等美术学校校长。现任西安美术学院中国画系副教授、硕士生导师。中国美术家协会会员，第九届全国美展陕西省评委，陕西省青联委员，西安市中国画院画家。
作品曾入选第七、八、九、十届全国美展、第二届全国中国画展，第三届中国油画展，中国美协会员首届中国画精品展，首届全国青年中国画年展，第十二届全军美展，曾赴韩国庆北大学校举办中韩水墨交流展等，曾获全国美展一银奖四铜奖，陕西省美展一、二、三等奖10余次。其中《煤，从这里开采》1989年获第七届全国美展铜奖，1990年、1992年获两届中国连环画十佳奖，插图《莎士比亚》1999年获第九届全国美展银奖，中国画《矿工/综采队》2003年获“鲁艺杯”全国教师年展铜奖，2004年获首届全国漫画、连环画、插图大展铜奖，2005年与杨晓阳、刘永杰等合作西安大雁塔北广场大型浮雕壁画《大唐盛世》并入选第十届全国美展，2008年《甘南风情》系列组画获首届全国中国画线描展优秀奖，2010年《西藏风情》系列组画获第二届全国中国画线描展优秀奖等。
作品《煤，从这里开采》获第七届全国美展铜奖，《平凡的世界》入选第八届全国美展。连环画有《魏卡》、《蝮蛇》、《被掩埋的地宫》《莎士比亚全集——亨利四世》等。插图有《莎士比亚戏剧精彩故事》、《十日谈精彩故事》、《索罗门王宝藏》等。
