庄子平，辽宁省大连市人，1958年出生，1982年毕业于鲁迅美术学院工艺美术系，同年留校任教。
现为鲁迅美术学院染织服装艺术设计系书记、副主任，教授、硕士生导师，中国工艺美术学会会员、中国展示协会会员、中国流行色协会会员、中国服装设计师协会会员，中国家纺协会注册高级设计师，北京艺鸣盛世文化传媒有限公司特邀设计顾问。
主讲课程：纺织品面料设计、图案表现技法。主要研究方向：图案设计与色彩研究。
主要作品
蜡染《马蹄莲》、纤维作品《侵蚀》、纤维作品《饕餮》、图案《秋韵》、《花的解构》。已出版《现代男士着装配色艺术》《构成艺术教程》《人物图案设计》《动物图案设计》《美术设计解误法——花卉变化》《现代创意字体设计》、《图案配色经典》。
《现代艺术设计配色惯例与实践》在2005年首届亚洲色彩论坛中获“优秀论文奖”。论文《现代纤维艺术价值取向》在首届中国手工艺与纤维艺术论坛中获“优秀论文奖”。作品《侵蚀》参加2006年“从洛桑到北京”国际纤维艺术展；作品《饕餮》于2006年参加韩国釜山纤维艺术展。
