彦东(1948—)别名刘彦东，江苏连云港人。擅长油画、壁画。1965年考入中央美院附中，1970年考入中央工艺美院壁画专业研究生班。1988年赴巴黎美院壁画工作室进修。1990年赴美国讲学。1993年后任中央工艺美术学院副教授、装饰艺术系壁画考古室主任。作品有北京地铁《四大发明》、西安火车站《悠久历史灿烂文化》、呼和浩特火车站《那达慕盛会》、美国芝加哥华埠广场《华人在美国》、埃及开罗国际会议大厦《文明的起源》、大连金座大厦《中华魂》等。《绿色宝石——西双版纳》参加全国第二届油画展并获奖。出版有《韩国雕塑》、《彦东艺术集》等。
