孙克弘有别墅一栋，在松江城东门外果子弄，俞塘之北，史称其园林为“孙家园”。园内设有藏书阁为“北俞堂”、“秋林阁”、“东郭草堂”、“敦复堂”、“青华馆”等，家富藏书，有宋本数种。藏书家朱大韶去世后，其“横经阁”所藏之书散出后，大多为其所得。还收藏有春秋战国期间的石鼓文拓片，现归于故宫博物院收藏；元大德刻本《宣和画谱》等。善书法。擅花鸟，初学徐熙、赵昌，后师法沈周、陆治。传世作品有《新枝四季花卉图》、《寒山拾得图》、《竹菊图》、《达摩渡江图》、《百花图》、《罗汉》、《折枝花卉图》、《朱竹图》等，大多都有陈继儒的题字。藏书印有“汉阳太守”、“雪居道人”、“孙克弘允执雪居书画印”、“汉阳郡长”等。著有《古今石刻碑帖目》2卷、《备考古今石刻碑帖目》1卷。
       天资高敏，刻意书、画，画山水学马远，云山仿米芾，花鸟似徐熙、赵昌，竹仿文同，籣仿郑思肯，时写人物、仙释，兼带梁楷，纵横点缀，皆有根据。名重一时，求绘事者填塞，多命门士应之。善用枯老之笔行干作花，或著色或水墨，皆极古淡。所居曰东郭草堂，列名迹於秋琳阁，盘礴觞咏，客至如归。晚年屏却一切，仅写墨梅，亦有雅尚。书仿宋仲温，八分宗汉。卒年八十（一作七十九）。历代画史汇传列入清初误。《明画录、无声诗史、画史会要、桐阴论画、莫廷韩集、陈眉公集、松江志》

《殊竹图》立轴，纸本，设色，纵61．7厘米，横29．9厘米。台北故宫博物院藏。
历代以朱砂写竹的并不多见，孙克弘这幅殊竹，在色彩对比和构图上都可说匠心独运。竹之妍艳与秀石之清冷沉郁形成对照。殊竹色彩上浓淡、深浅的变化，在空间上产生一种幽深的意境，使画面在艳丽中又趋向沉静、稳重。
       《梅竹图》扇面，泥金纸本，设色，纵15．7厘米，横48．9厘米。台北故宫博物院藏。
此图以较工整细致的笔法画一枝梅花与一丛翠竹，从一角斜出，垂曳于清溪之上。构图疏秀有致，梅枝盘折曲伸，指向扇面款识，使整个画面得到统一。
       《雨景山水图》立轴，纸本，设色，纵171厘米，横72厘米。广东省博物馆藏。
图中画远山雾霭，近树清波，板桥屋舍，点缀其中。用笔圆润，墨色浑厚，表现了春天的雨后景色。此图自题诗云：“僧房十日掩紫关，闲看浮云自往还，无限天机心会得，起来磨墨写房山。”全幅诗情画意，皆含仿米之意。
       《玉堂芝兰图》故宫博物院藏，纸本 设色 纵135.8厘米 横59厘米
       该图用双勾填色法画玉兰、兰花以湖石衬托。笔致清秀，色彩淡雅。浓重的玲珑湖石与轻盈的素白玉兰，对比强烈而又和谐，画风清丽。自题七绝一首，款署：“己酉春日写雪居克弘。”钤“弘”、“汉阳郡长”、“东郭草堂”印三方。
