庄言 (1915.1-2002.2) 。江苏镇江人。擅长油画。1932年入上海美专。1937年陕北公学毕业。参加保卫大武汉宣传及演剧三队。1941年任延安鲁艺美术部研究员，民族革命艺术学院教师。与胡蛮、罗工柳、辛莽编绘洋片油画《赵天顺翻身》。主编《保卫延安》画刊。1949年后任北京师范大学美术系教授。1953年赴朝鲜，作战地速写。1956年访问英国、苏联。1965年入北京画院，曾任副院长、北京美协副主席。1983、1988年访问日本。1994年在北京国际艺苑举办个展。享受政府特殊津贴。中国美协三届、四届理事。作品多次入选国内外美展。作品有《农民》、《前线归来》、《双塔寺战斗》等。作品《汲水》获中日友好画展特别优秀奖，《黄山烟云》被法国前总统收藏。出版有《庄言集》、《庄言油画集》。

 Zhuangyan (1915.1-2002.2). People from Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. Good at oil painting. In 1932, he joined Shanghai American College. Graduated from North Shaanxi Public School in 1937. Participate in the three teams of propaganda and theatre for the defense of Wuhan. In 1941, he was a researcher of Yan'an Lu Art Department and a teacher of National Revolutionary Art College. With Hu Man, Luo Gongliu and Xin Mang compiled the oil painting Zhao Tianshun Turn over. Editor-in-chief of "Defending Yan'an" pictorial magazine. After 1949, he became a professor in the Department of Fine Arts of Beijing Normal University. He went to Korea in 1953 and sketched the battlefield. He visited Britain and the Soviet Union in 1956. He joined Beijing Painting Academy in 1965 and served as Vice President and Vice President of Beijing Art Association. Visits to Japan in 1983 and 1988. In 1994, a solo exhibition was held in Beijing International Art Garden. Enjoy special government allowances. Three or four members of the Chinese Association of Arts. His works have been selected in many art exhibitions at home and abroad. His works include Farmers, Front Line Return, and Battle of Shuangta Temple. The work "Drawing Water" won a special excellent award at the Sino-Japanese Friendship Painting Exhibition, and the "Yellow Mountain Smoke and Clouds" was collected by the former French President. He has published Collections of Zhuang Yan and Oil Paintings of Zhuang Yan.
