李明峰，1963年生于北京，祖籍武汉。1983年从南京考入军校。入伍后分别在总参谋部、南京军区、总装备部等大单位任职，历任排长、作训参谋、副连长、连长、政治指导员、副营长、文化干事、美术编辑、军事记者等职。1995年毕业于解放军艺术学院美术系，2001年毕业于中央美院油画系硕士研究生课程班。原为解放军总装备部画家，现为国防大学画家。中国美术家协会会员。
