1932年生。中央民族学院教授，又名罗贻珍
1955年毕业于中央美术学院华东分院(即今中国美术学院)绘画系，
1956年国家派往捷克斯洛伐克学习，在布拉格美术学院研习油画，
1960年回国，任浙江美术学院油画系教员，
1962年调任中央民族学院艺术系油画专业教师，
现为中央民族大学校学术委员会常委兼艺术学科组长、美术系教授、研究生工作室主任，享受政府特殊津贴，中国美术家协会、中国老教授协会及欧美同学会会员。作品在国内外参加画展，至今有数十幅油画和水粉作品在国内出版、国内外收藏。
六十年代中期上海人民美术出版社出版《北方农村》，、《渔港》及《少女肖像》。八十年代以西藏阿里地区风情为题材的系列油画，其中《边城阿里》，在1987年获全国首届教师美展(专业组)优等奖，《雪域深处》、《不朽的藏乡》、《一方热土》等还发表在《中国油画》等刊物上，参加了国内外画展。八十年代中期创作了三幅巨型壁画，为《中国大百科全书》(美术卷)撰写捷克斯洛伐克美术及重要画家的辞条，发表、出版了介绍捷克绘画和著名美术家玛·什瓦宾斯基的文章及画册，1988年荣获捷克布拉格美术学院授予的钢质纪念奖章。在国内举办两次画展，一次国外画展，出版两本专著、两本个入画册。曾入编《中国当代美术家人名录》、《中国当代艺术界名人录》、《中国美术书法界名人名作博览》(上卷)、《世界华人艺术家成就博览大典》(香港)、英国剑桥《国际名人辞典》。作品有油画《塔吉克之鹰》、《少女肖像》、《不配的藏乡》、《边城阿里》、《阿希米亚的秋天》，水粉画《渔港》、壁画《阿诗玛》等。出版个人画集两册。
