福建长乐县人。擅长油画。1965年毕业于福建艺术学院舞台美术系。福建省画院专业画家，中国美术家协会会员，国家一级美术师，福建省画院副院长。磨漆画《镇邪女神》入选中国漆画艺术展览；油国《有缘千里来相会》获中国美协和煤炭基金会联办的美展三等奖，《正月家记者》入选第六届全国美展；白描插图《荒书》入选第八届全国美展；文学作品插图《海湾上的酒吧》获闽版优秀插图奖，《巴里加斯的困惑》获装帧艺术作品优秀插图奖。出版有《郑征泉油画、中国画画集》。
1981年油画《海上送医》参加全国卫生美展。1982年油画《有缘千里来相会》参加中国美协和煤炭基金会联办的美展，获三等奖。1983年油画《带洞萧的姑娘》参加全国侨乡风貌展。1984年油画《正月·家乡记者》参加全国第六届美展。1985年为福建省外贸中心酒店创作大型壁画《华厦之光》。1986年文学作品插图《海湾上的酒巴》获闽版优秀插图奖。1988年两幅山水画参加“中国东部名家扇面册页展”，1989年文学作品插图《巴里加斯的困惑》获装帧艺术作品优秀插图奖。1991年出版《郑征泉油画、中国画》画集。1994年中国白描画插图《荒书》参加第八届全国美展。1996年9月以中国山水画参加《陈奋武、郑征泉、郭东建》三人书画作品展览。
